debug logging not creating txt files

I'm trying to figure out why jetty isn't working, and to try and figure that out I'm trying to enable debug_logging, but that isn't working either.

I stopped the SageTV service, added the line "debug_logging=TRUE" to the end of my Sage.properties file in C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV and re-started the SageTV service. But no "sagetv_x.txt" files are appearing in C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV. There are actually some old logs like "sagetv_0.txt" from a few months ago, so somehow it must have worked in the past.

Any suggestions? I'm running Vista with the latest SageTV release version.

I have a problem using SageTV and was asked to enable debug logging. How do I do that? You don't need to manually edit the properties file; change the setting in the UI & it tells you that you need to restart to activate debug logging.

Edit: I started posting this before Opus4 had replied, so his answer covers the same thing as well.

Ok, after a lot of hunting I found the solution here:

Essentially the trick is to either turn off UAC, or always edit your Sage.properties file by running your text editor in administrator mode (right-click on the editing program and choose "Run as administrator").
