Questions about saving changes

Hi All, I'm beginning to work with Sagemc and am having some problems understanding the philosophy and mechanics of how you save and load changes in SageMC. Any help would be greatly appreciated:

1. How do you save and retrieve changes with dynamic menus set? Here is what I am doing now after I make screen changes and it doesnt seem to work:
A. rclick and choose Customize Screen Layout
B. Import/Export Layout
C. Export All (All implies it covers the 2 choices below for main and sub right?)
D. Select one of the layout names below and it returns to Layout Import/ Export menu

I get no prompt that I am overwriting or have saved and I dont see the changes when I restart SageTV and import that layout.

D) Alternatively, I can pick New File, type it in and say OK.
E) Then apparently I have to Click OK with that file listed as current file? That seems like a weird mechanic as the current file changes if i mouse over another one in the list

Anyway, with the process above, I do see the new layout name in the list but when i end Sage and restart, then import all from that new name, nothing has changed. What am i doing wrong?

Second question:
When I save layouts as above, I see their names in the list but no new files are created in the current directory (...\sagemce\menulayouts). Where are these layouts files located if not the listed current directory? The only file I see is Default.layout and that doesnt get updated.

Third question:
Is there any kind of coherent and current user guide to SageMC other than combing through all the posts? The Wiki doesnt ever seem to have been completed. I know this is a labor of love so maybe no one ever created a comprehensive guide but if there is one, I'd love to know where.

Never mind, figured it out. For anyone who has the same questions, here are the answers:

1. Use the File....Save option, not export

2. With Vista or Win7 and UAC turned on, the files are put in the user directory under USER/NAME/appdata/local/virtualstore/program files/sagetv/sagetv/stvs/sagetv3. In other words, it duplicates the SageTV menu structure in Virtualstore.

3. No idea but I guess not
