online content loast after firmware update

A few weeks ago I down installed the firmware 20090930 to my hd 200. Since the update the unit will not access to online content in standalone mode. I cannot not get access to YouTube, the Weather Icon is blank and has no content.

I have tried to update the firmware again and after a long time-out I get the screen –“Failed checking for update. Make sure your network connection is configured correctly.” I have reset the network under the set up and continue to get the same results.

The unit seems to work fine in connected mode to the network and in that mode I do have access to online content.

How can I fix this issue and how can I update again when new firmware is available?

Did you ever find an answer? I am having a similar problem. the weather icon in standalone mode is blank and the weather screen shows null everywhere. the weather setup appears to work until I click continue, then it shows "null" instead of the location name although it does show the zip code.

When connected to the server It acts a bit different. The location shows correctly, but when I open weather screen it shows info from 29 Dec 2009. I cannot get current weather info. I tried all the restart stuff and I tried changing the location. My current location is Olympia (98513)(98513). When I change the zip code to 90210 the menu system shows me Beverly Hills (90210), but it sets the current location to Olympia (98513)(90210) and my weather screen still shows Olympia info from 29 Dec...

I get the same behavior from the server software when accessed from it's computer as from the HD200

I get the same message when trying to check for updates, however I can see youtube and other online content.

For both of you situations read the FAQ and download the latest beta firmware and follw the instructions for loading the firmware from a USB stick if you can't get it to upgrade over the Internet. If you can connect over the Internet upgrade to the latest production version and after making sure that workks upgrade to the latest beta firmware.

That did fix the update problem, but my weather is still messed up.

Also, when I go to the computer where SageTv Server software is running, the weather show for the wrong date and will not change location.
