easy question

Soooo, now that I'm down to the nitty gritty on this SageTV project, a hopefully easy question or two

can I add a CD Rom drive as a media library directory?

if so, how often does Sage "refresh" its list of media available in the library?

What I am thinking of is installing the DivX codec to watch divx files. I have an awful lot of DivX files on CD. So if I insert a CD into my CD drive and then try to use sage to play the file, will the file show up in the list of available imported video in the media library? or will i have to copy the file to the hard drive in advance and/or restart sage?
