Can a person do this with the HD200

Is it possible to schedule a task at a certain time to turn on the HD200 then turn it off? Maybe even tune it to a certain channel? If it cannot be done in Sagetv, can I use a batch file and schedule it to run?

If it is possible, where can I find the language to create the batch file?

Thanks
Bill

Yup the easiest way I have found is using the webserver interface and a program called wget.

example

PATH\TO\wget.exe --delete-after http://USER:PASS@WEBSERVERIP:PORT/sa...S&command=stop

The URL stays the same for all commands just the end changes, you change the MACADDRESS to which ever client you wish to affect. I build an entirely custom interface using EventGhost and this method for my MVPs.

Is it possible to do this from the STV?

I would like to add stop playback command from my extenders, so I can delete a file I paused on another extender. I can hard-code each extender's MAC.

Dynamic menus, you can use that command and it too will work. You can also use it in the windows scheduler if you want to.
