Capture Fanart [doesn't]

Ok, maybe someone can help me. I have been a sagetv/sagemc user for some years [used with a hdhomerun]. I stuck with an old version for a long time. It worked, though things like imdb search got out of date along the way, but since it kept working so reliably, I didn't bother with it.

Over Thanksgiving, I had a some time, so I updated everything. Hdhomerun to the latest 20091024 [nice, the channel mapping is certainly easier than it used to be], sagetv to 6.6.2 and sagemc to 6.3.8a. I did not do a clean install -- I over-wrote everything as I was hoping to loose as little as possible.

And everything went well -- except:

"Capture Fanart" didn't seem to be doing anything. I turned on some file tracking, and saw that sage was trying to create a file in a directory that didn't exist: sagetv/null [yes, the directory name was 'null']. So I created a directory named null, and indeed, some captures went there. But many didn't -- even after the directory was created. And some that did get there are corrupt. They look OK for some top portion of the screen, but the bottom portion is just the last scan line repeated over and over [creating streaks down the page].

I don't know that the two issues [funny directory location, and failure to capture even with that directory created] are related.

Any help? I'm hoping that some one who wrote whatever software is involved should at least recognize where the name 'null' is from.

Thanks!

Are you completely up to date with your SageMC install? If not, check out the pre-release thread to pick up the updated STV and phoneix jars. The Phoneix jars are especially important as they generate the path for those captures.
