SageTV Client only works once then locks the Overlay
I got everything installed and running on the system doing the recording via SageTV, then installed the Client on a Win98 machine with an ATI AIW Radeon card. The client works exactly once, then it and every other program that requires the overlay (WinTV, WinDVD, etc) complains that it can't get access to the overlay.
Since every other program that needs the overlay works multiple times, and SageTV Client works only once, I'm forced to believe that the Client isn't releasing the overlay correctly when it terminates. This is using the 1.4 version currently released. I've tried switching from the overlay to the other option (default), but the video is displayed upside down so that isn't an option I can use. Anybody else seen this kind of behaviour? |

Not that it should really matter, but are you sleeping the sage client (to the system tray) or exiting it completely?

I exit completely. I've tried the sleep function when experimenting with other settings, I don't think I've ever seen the overlay problem that way.

Are you running WIn98SE with all the latest patches, Direct X 8 or higher, the latest java, and the latest Cat drivers for your AIW card?

Yes, Direct X 9, Java 1.4.2 and the latest drivers I could find for the card. I'd also mention again that every other TV/DVD app that needs the overlay works just fine, it's only SageTV Client that causes the problem.
I did some experimenting just now and I can put the client to sleep, fire up WinTV and watch TV using the local AIW card, then terminate that and open the client up again which still works fine. It's only when I actually exit the client that the problem starts. |

Just as another data point, I installed the version 2 beta and the problem goes away, so I'm reasonably sure it's a bug in the version 1 SageTV Client.
