Love the new features!

The video out is great, the Hauppage does a much better job of decoding the video than my tired old video card did.

There are a couple things I'd love to see added to take even greater advantage of the new features:

1- Complete video out-- it would be great to not have to switch back to the computer to access the menu, or to be able to display pictures/video/audio on a remote tv. I don't know if this is possible, but it would really be great.

2- Playlists, for all supported media-- it would be great to queue up a list of clips to play. Random play would also be great, particularly for the audio stuff

3- Search across all libraries-- I dumped a couple hundred MP3 files into my audio library, and it's rather difficult to find a specific song now.

Great work though, I'm loving the new beta!

1. It's much more difficult than just getting the video to appear so it will be a little ways down the road but something we definitely want to implement.

2. We've already started working on this...

3. The search features of SageTV currently supports for video recorded by SageTV but not yet for imported media.

Keep in mind we added Music as a convenience at this point to the Library. So you are missing a lot of the functionality you would see in most media players right now. We are looking at different ways we can expand this functionality either through SageTV or interfacing with 3rd party applications.

1.3.2 does allow you to search by Album (Title) or by Person (Artist).

It parses the ID3V1 tags in the MP3 files to get that information.

I stand corrected, of course I tried doing a search for a song, not album title or artist. Is there no tag for the song title?

Song title gets stored as episode name currently, so do a search for description or all fields and that should work.
