Apple Remote Issue - Disable MiniGuide?

I am attempting to setup my new Mac Mini based Sage Client.

I want to use my existing apple remote to control the system. I am using the driver I downloaded from here:

This driver and accompanying program map the apple remote keys to look like keyboard keys. The volume up and down buttons map to keyboard up and down buttons.

I have told SageTV to link these to Up/Volume Up and Down/Volume Down; however, when I am playing media and I hit these, they just bring up the SageMC MiniGuide.

Is there some way I can make this work?

I guess I can take the lack of responses to mean that there is no way to get rid of the miniguide....

You need to link them to "Volume Up" and "Volume Down" - not the combined Up / Volume UP version that you mention in the first post.
