IR control

One of the things I'm worrying about whilst setting up SageTV (I've given up on MythTV for now...) is the IR control.

I have a UIRT2 which I hope to use for sending/receiving IR commands.

I know I can use GIRDER to receive IR commands to SageTV (even though GIRDER is quite crude in some respects, so I may write my own replacement - I have a PERL script that does the job for MythTV, and works fine under Windows..) (it'd be nice to integrate UIRT2 support into SageTV - it's trivial to receive commands from...)

Is there any 'API' to get commands from SageTV back out to another program for sending IR commands to a satellite STB? I know you support the Actisys IR blaster and you mention something about the 'sourceforge IR standard' or something - but what's that?

Things like Showshifter let you specify a program to call when changing to a specific channel - this would be just what I want.

You can specify the program to change the channel in Sage also. There's an EXETunerPlugin DLL file which takes care of this. There's more information on it in the developers section of our website. Should be self-explanatory to you.

I realize it has been quite a while (since 2003!), but I was looking for the "Developers" section on the web site to get more information on ExeTunerPlugin. The section seems to have moved - does anybody know the current location?
