MCE Encoder Hardware?

In the release notes for the .14 beta there is a "Outstanding issues/bugs to be resolved for the final 2.0 release:"

named:

"60509 Support Generic Windows MCE Encoder Hardware "

This is dropped due to time constraints in the .15 beta. Anybody knows what this was? Does this means that support for more TV-cards is planned for the future?

Maybe DVB...

I believe it is/was support for Blackbird based capture cards like some PVR 250 MCEs and the Avermedia M150. I can only assume that those will be added in some future release.

All blackbird cards will be supported in the 2.0 release, including the ability to modify the recording quality. Configuration of the ATI E-Home wonder parameters will also be possible with information about the card's filters if anyone has this information. Any cards that aren't included in the default configuration for V2 can be added with a registry update.

I'd help but I don't have one, yet

Will Sage be able to take advantage of the realtime preview of the black bird models?
Cause with hauppauge working on multiple card support, that would definitely be my next buy!

How does deinterlacing work with the "real-time preview"? - Since my MPEG2 decoder is doing that now.

I have a few e-home wonders. How do I get info on the filters?.... Or does the fact that I have to ask that question mean it's beyond me ;-) I'd love to help if I can. I am moderately technical.

I'd email 'em since I don't know what they need. However you can use graphedit to find out what the pins are called, and to open up the filter properties:

Live preview will be supported later, but not for v2.0.

If you can say, will the live preview be deinterlaced, I would think you could just pipe it to the dscaler filter currently used with the Elecard decoders?

Hey, where'd the cat go?

Jeff's the one with the cat. Dan has a new pet logo. I think the cat's cuter, but the logo is nice, too. It probably doesn't need a litter box, either.

Now if the logo were animated with the lights circling & changing the RGB-overlap image as they circle around. Can I file a feature request for the logo??

Candidate Release doesn't seem to support blackbird/roslyn PVR250MCE.

Was looking forward to possibly using SageTV - Back to BeyondTV I go.

MCE version was supported way before RC1 (1.4 days?). Got to know what you are doing though .

I am a newbie - never used SageTV before.

I am using a Gateway 901X which has a Roslyn PVR250MCE card. Drivers are V2.96.22090.

Upon executing SageTv it opens with the Setup Wizard which does not show the video capture device as a choose. It is blank.

Is there a special way to set it up. I notice that the AdditionalCaptureSetups does list the WinTV88x Video Capture. Do I have to tweak anything in the registry.

Please submit a support request so our support team can assist you with getting the Roslyn card working with SageTV. www.sage.tv/request.html
