What 'flags' a channel as HD on Sagemc?

When I record upcoming movies, I usually filter them in SageMC to list the HD movies only (My TV, Movies, Filter HD)... I figure as long as I'm going to record a movie I'll go straight for the HD version.

I'm finding that a lot of movies that I know are HD are not listed as such. In fact, entire networks (E! HD, TCM HD and others) never seem to list any movies as HD. Am I doing something wrong, or am I just at the mercy of the EPG?

If there is a way to fix this, can i possible 'flag' all shows on a network as HD?

Thanks,
Larry

I am pretty certain that it just looks at the HD flag in the EPG data. I would say the best thing to do is to verify the issue also exists in the default STV and then open a support ticket to notify SageTV of the incorrect EPG data. They can try to get Zap2It to correct the problem.

Aloha,
Mike

Zap2it has the same

Just checked Zap2it for my area and you are right, the error is there also... I wonder if it's a nationwide issue, does anyone else see TCM HD and E! HD without the flag?

If it doesn't clear up in a few days I'll log a support ticket. More of an annoyance than a problem, but would be great if I can get it fixed.

well, if there is an inconsistancy, no reason to wait. go ahead and post about it in the EPG forum, and sage will contact zap2it about it. They've got a contract with zap2it for the info, and usually the fixes are pretty quick. (though it may be a little slower for something like this, where zap2it might not be getting the complete info from ted's boys at the network.
