Playback Automation?
Is there anything customization that can be made for Sage HD-200 or a sage server that will play a playlist of videos at a certain time?
So if you want 2 different videos to play one after another at 3:00pm on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and 5 videos to play one after another at 2:00pm on Wednesday could this be added as a customization? Would love to use sage for TV automation for a local TV channel in our town! But I have no programing knowledge. What do you guys think? Aaron |

Well, I'm pretty certain that doesn't currently exist.. i also think it's unlikly someone else would spend the time developing it. You MAY be able to do something through the web interface (I believe it has the capability to launch certain mediafile in sage). Might be something you could do to automate that (like make shortcuts to the URL that starts the video), and use windows scheduler to trigger those shortcuts... not sure though..

A video playlist can do the job of playing one video after another in sequence. That's a standard feature that requires no customization. Kicking it off at a specified time would require customization, but there are a couple of different scripting interfaces and such that should be able to do that with a bit of work on your part.
The basic rule of thumb is that almost any sort of media automation you can think of can be done somehow or other in Sage, depending on your scripting/coding skills and how much work you want to put into it.
