I really doubt there will be a mass exodus... Especially among the devs. Those are the guys who are most committed to it, and as such, are teh ones who realize that there really isn't an alternative worth exiting to.

Does the Showcase view work on Extenders? How Extender friendly will Ortus be in general?

My understanding was that Ortus was geared towards extenders. Therefore, extender performance was most important.

However, what do I know. I am not a beta tester.

I'm using 7.1.7 and it works great.

The End.
Should I check dropbox?

Have this project been abandoned or will there be any more updates?

I don't want to speak for the devs, but from what they've told me it is still going. It's the end of summer so they will hopefully start again. I hope they continue because what they've done so far is awesome. I can't imagine not using it every day.

I wonder how much more work they have to do? From the last video posted, it looks pretty polished. I think it kinda helps that SageTV is no longer updating, so no new features or codes for the third party developers to fuss with, so it's one positive thing about the google acquisition.

From what I've seen with what I'm using there are a few lingering bugs, but for the most part everything functions perfectly. I think Ben was in the process of adding more UI features as some aren't completed.

Really looking forward to this one, had a question about metadata. i seem to recall you had your own metadata interface. will that play nice with BMT, or once this comes out will it need to be one or the other?

Do you mind posting some screen shots or videos of what it looks like now?

It has it's own metadata, not compatible with bmt. The metadata is totally different and has to be correct to work with the ortus tv and movie views. It's worth it and is pretty simple to get going. I actually use both.

Screen shots on the previous page are spot on. Anything new would be tweaks and bug fixes. Videos are on youtube. I'll ask if there is anything new in the works.

Is the Ortus UI mouse friendly? I notice in Diamond UI, some action are not mouse friendly, and it's even worse in Phoenix.

Nothing much has changed recently..... bit hard to work up some enthusiasm to continue working on it when there isn't much of a future in Sage. However we still we do little bits here and there.
