For not much being changed the main screen looks amazing! Much nicer than before. Keep it up, there are still dedicated Sage users out there waiting for this. as evidenced by the view count on your newest screenshot!

At this point your enthusiasm can come from the fact that you will finally be finished! That and everybody will have something new to play with. There are still plenty of people that will use sage for a long long time.

The hesitation I am sure comes in support area. Even if people say "release it without support" people will b*$ch and complain if/when something doesn't work right. I did many projects I never released because of this very reason.

Since Phoenix never appealed to me, and trust me, I really tried to like it, but at the end of the day, I reverted back to Diamond. But Ortus has always intrigued me, and I would love to see it released.

Given the state of SageTV right now, I say we (the users) are in the "beggers can't be choosers" position, so any releases by the community developers are greatly appreciated, and I'm sure we will have little to complain about in terms of support.

By the way, off topic, but what's the state of Diamond since 3.3?

I figured as much, but still with all that work and I seem to be one of the few that actually uses ortus I'd think others would be happy to have something new to play with. Plus, I'm here for basic support. Very basic.

We are still plugging away, mainly at the main menu code... It was a bit quick and dirty the first time, so we have pretty much re-wrote the code to make it a lot more dynamic.

Hard to get much done during the summer, much nicer outside than glued in front of a monitor...

With the stage of Sage, it is a bit hard to get rolling, but we have been chugging away as we get some time and motivation... Probably been wasting a lot of time looking for a replacement to sage, but nothing really seems to be close..

Thanks,
Jeff

Sorry, I missed this...

Pretty much as Jeff said above.... we're still here plugging away very, very slowly (a few hours a week). I could bore you with screenshots but I think you know what it looks like by now.

I'm using the STV on my main system now but there's still quite alot of small bugs/issue's with it which need fixing up before a release.

Cheers

Ben
