Droid X

VLC 1.0.0
newest version of sageTV, SageTSPS and GSTI
Windows XP (server)
HD200 (extender)

Now, let me note thst it doesnt ALWAYS play, its very hit or miss.
Okay so how do you get DVD folder/Video_TS/Video_TS.IFO to come up? I'm getting audio but no video, do you not have the DVD menus copied? I have full DVD copied to my WHS. I'm guessing that is the issue but want to confirm.

License Purchase - Moving to another phone

Fonceur, when I upgrade my phone (planning, not doing it yet, have terrible EVO envy at the moment, not at my 1 year mark on the Hero I currently have), I am keeping the same google account on the new phone, what is the process for moving the taSageTV license? (Don't have that either yet, but will shortly)

Thanks
-Ben

You would basically send an email to the address where you got the license key, include your new Android ID and get a new key. Unless we started to use The Market by then...

Foncuer - quick question.

I have installed the app and edited my Sage.Properties file. I can get one client to connect, but not the 2nd extender or my main server.

I also run the CQC driver, so my properties file is going to have two sets of entries. Here what I think is the applicable line in my properties file:
Code:
sageTCPServer/clients=local.9250,local.9750,00085C53C697.9100,001E40B5A05E.9101,00085C53C697.9260,001E40B5A05E.9261,http.8000
ports 9250, 9100, and 9101 are used for the CQC driver. Those are all connected just fine.

Here is a screen shot of the server details.

Any suggestions? It seems to be working since the extender connects, but weird that nothing else does.

Thanks,

Fonceur - I also noticed that the when I switch from Extender 2 to Extender 1, the screen does not update to reflect the connected status until I change orientations. In other words, the green check mark does not show up unless I refresh the screen (either by changing the orientation, or moving to another screen and coming back).

Best thing would be to enable the debugging in Sage.properties and attached the zipped sagetv_0.txt. Make sure you didn't put 9750 as the client that is connecting... Also check that the firewall isn't blocking those new ports.

You should put RTSP for the streaming and can lose the password for now, as it's not used and wouldn't be an existing one...

Right, I did notice something like that, but couldn't figure out why the event wasn't getting fired.

Also, is the password something unusual? Your directions don't really talk about a password. So I used my webserver password. Is that correct?

Here are two more screen shots showing the extender settings and how one is connected and the server is not.

That's because it's for future use, and will be a password dedicated to SageTCPServer.

OK - I finally got it. Too many ports to keep track of. Changed the server to look at 9250 and it connected and I can pull all the data.

Just getting into this.

Can connect and see recordings. Cant see anything else (all UNC paths to WHS). Cannot even see archived recordings stored remotely.

Tried stream, get the rtsp feed, but all my video players "cannot play file". Which video player are you guys using?

Im on a Droid rooted running 2.2 Froyo.

OK, so the connection to the server is working...

For the Media Center part, have you hit Menu/Synchronize? If yes, then it might be choking parsing the metadata...

I don't suppose those were 1080i HD-PVR recordings by any chance? Are you using VLC 1.0, as it seems the most compatible...

1. yes server connection works
2. Hitting menu/syncrozine worked! i see 10/xxxx for everything now. perfect
3. i am using latest vlc, 1.1 something. i will look for a verison 1.0

i tried doubletwist player, and got audio! no video. This was on a SD dvd (great) quality recording .

Update - downgraded vlc to 1.0.0 from their FTP site. Still audio only, no video. Tried HD recordings, SD recordings, and a SD mkv. All crystal clear audio, all no video...

sooooooo close.

I might need to make it more obvious somehow, as it's not the first time someone miss that step...

Hmm, is there anything else i can try? Is it possible its a resolution issue for the Droid?

Well, I was using the default player when I got it to play the two times it worked. I have been trying since then with no luck on audio or video.. just get the error every time.

Waiting patiently for Froyo.

Froyo comes out for original Droid next week, I have to wait till "Late Summer" whatever that means.

Well, someone with a Nexus One running Froyo said it worked in post 328, so hopefully it's just that UD4.0 is based on a pre-release or something...
