Hi Fonceur

I have a small change request. On the front screen where I can select between clients, would it be possible to make the font slightly larger in the client list pop up ? On my phone resolution its a bit tricky to pick from the list (End up using the edge of my thumb)

Thanks !

Hmm, I just pass an array of string and the list is created for me, I'm not sure that I can do much about it, but I'll check...

Here is a test version for the Apple HTTP Live streaming... It requires SageTV 7 with the iOS streaming plugin (using the default Jetty username/password), which should already be installed due to SageTCPServer dependencies...

The "HTTP stream 1" can be tested with Mirage beta or VPlayer.

The "HTTP stream 2" can be tested on a device with Android OS 2.3 or 3...

I don't really think that either will work, but nothing to lose testing it...

The Mirage author replied to my email, so I added another option for "Mirage stream", which should work even better...

HTTP Stream 1 asks what browser to use(I have the default as well as opera mini) it then tries to download file and fails.

HTTP Stream 2 and I get a force close.

Tried this and mirage opens and says please wait while loading. It never loads.

That's what I was expecting, it probably doesn't recognize the mime type as valid or something.

Hmm, and that's with Android OS 2.3 or 3? I guess the httplive:// does expect a .m3u8 file...

Oh well, it was worth a shot...

What kind of file have you been trying to stream, a plain mpeg2?

Another streaming test (Mirage stream low), which simply picks the lowest bit rate...

So just how well sorted is this for Android 3 based tablets in general? My desire is more for controlling extenders than streaming.

1) verified working on real hardware

2) should work based on SDK emulator

3) your guess is as good as mine...

Xoom owner here, but I'm very hesitant to disrupt my Sage server with extra add ons…

There is no reason why it shouldn't work with Android 3 on a tablet, but I am not aware of anyone trying it. There is definitely no specific support, as say for the iPad with TiSageTV... I think that most screens will scale up naturally, though some might look odd. You can always try it out in unlicensed mode...

Version 1.66

- Added test streaming options.
- Added cover art to the list of Albums.
- Use the same image file for all songs of an album.
- Renamed some menus to match the default SageTV UI.
- Changed the detail view text colors.

Currently, none of the test streaming seem to work... You will need to re-sync your Media center lists...

Good work my friend, a few simple changes that have improved the ease of use in a big way. Synchronization is a lot quicker now too. Album art doesn't scale particularly well in the list screen however, it crops large images vertically where smaller ones retain the full icon. This is probably my own fault for being lazy, not standardizing my sizes and leaving it to sage!
FYI, all the Mirage test stream options crash Mirage. I'm still running 2.2 but I tried the others anyway, no joy.

Make sure you are running all the latest version of the SageTV plugins, as the first rescaling of the album art was done through native SageTV calls that didn't kept the aspect ratio... But I know that the Apple SDK is buggy for rows that have text or detailText longer than one line. At some point I'll probably try to create my own custom cell and see if that makes it immune to that bug.

Right, jreichen and the Mirage author have been working on it. Each have found cases they were not handling properly, so it's getting closer.

All up to date, remains the same, doesn't look too bad, it's just that they are all different sizes so it's untidy on screen

Right, I have that too, plus some missing album art, so it does look messy.
