* back on the details of videos, photos or sound files always seems to force close.
But these have always been like this for me

OK, good, now this one should crash as it's targeting 2.3.3 which had issues:

OK, so I guess I'll need those info to connect to your SageTV server and try it out myself. Have you enabled/checked the SageTV\SageTV\sagetv_0.txt log file to see if the "SBT:my search" is crashing on the server side or if the issue is on the TaSageTV side?

Well, if the variant bit rate one is working for you, then it might not be a real issue... Chances are that Mirage itself would probably have to support the authorization, as I'm just passing it a URL... Or maybe I need to add the username/password myself to the URL...

Are they synchronized yet (Menu --> Synchronize from the Media Center screen) or that's with no data? The log collector might help on those, assuming it's not the same action bar issue from before...

actually that one partly works.
Client remote doesnt work, and a Blank program guide, but I do get a menu button.

I also get android.os.StrictMode$AndroidBlockGuardPolicy.onNetwork i the log when I try the streams that gave unauthorised before!

(more reply in awhile when I get the logs for the other bits)

Logs attached for a search of "gadget".
Two sets actually...
One suffixed -search-233.txt which is with the latest version you linked.
The other suffixed -search-231.txt with the verison linked for 231 which works better.

There's no sage log file for the -search-233 suffix as it didnt get that far!
Looks like another "android.os.StrictMode$AndroidBlockGuardPolicy.onNetwork" with that version.

I consider it not working, so stick with 1.80f (2.3.1)...

OK, so it is sent properly from the server, and the results are received without error... Though I'm not seeing why it wouldn't display anything on your device...

Version 1.81

- Targeting Android OS 2.3.1 until some issues are resolved.
- Add credentials to the URL sent to Mirage for fixed bit rate streams.
- Fix: No longer crash if Mirage is not installed...

So I went ahead and bought the application but am still having the same issue.

I can select a playlist and view all the songs but am unable to figure out how to play the playlist. Tapping on any song in the playlist does nothing. Tapping Start in the menu also does nothing.

I am most interested in using this app as a means to control SageTV and not for its streaming capabilities.

From what I've found so far this should be possible with the android app. One area I am unsure of however is playlists. While I can pick individual songs and have them play through the extender this doesn't seem to work for playlists. I can see all my playlists but nothing happens when I either tap on a song in the playlist list or bring up the menu and select play.

Has anyone else been able to get playlists to work through an extender? Do I need to buy the app in order to enable this feature?

Hello,

After only using the app for a couple days now there are a few things I've noticed.

1. Selecting an extender by MAC ID is not very user friendly. Is it possible to give extenders and clients friendly names?
2. Playlists should be one word (not Play Lists or PlayLists)

It seems that the StartPlaylist command is busted in the dependency, let me see...

Sure, you do that in the SageTCPServer plugin configuration.

I just came back here to try this on my new Xoom, and it (version 1.81) is force Closing on almost any action.

Thanks!

Update to SageTCPServer 2.2.6, it should be fixed.

Hmm, I would have understood versions 1.75 to 1.80, but 1.81 should have been fine... Could you post the android log for it?

Also try version 1.74, to see if it worked with the Android OS 2.2 build...

One new "bug" Ive noticed with 1.81.

When you change server or client, the current selection in use isnt shown anymore.

Yes, I noticed that. It will be fixed in the next release.

So did it correct the fixed bit rate Mirage beta streaming?

Was there a specific problem with the variant playlist (Mirage stream) that made you want to use specific bit rates? I'm thinking that the variable bit rates isn't getting the authorization when it switches bit rate, but that's just a guess...

Well personally I was just trying them to see if they worked at the moment. But I was also going to try them over the internet on the assumption that limiting the stream rate would give more consistant quality...

I frequently get more than 2Mb 3G connection speed, but my ADSL only does about 448Kbps upload speed. Well more like 340Kbps average. Placeshifter works, but the quality really variable at times.

I was also hoping differant bit rate might have a bit better sync, but it seems not

- Fix: Did not show the current Client/Server selection.
- Fix: Did not remember the last client.

Do you have the full version by any chance?

Ive just entered my licence code and now find also find I get a force close on many actions.

Before I entered the code the only Fc's I got were going back from viewing details of a video, picture or mp3.

Have to produce a few log files tomorrow I guess
