Did you appropriately update the filename to one on your system? Could you post the actual line? Ideally you want to pick the line from your log file.

I was getting ready to reinstall taSageTV but wiki page link seem to be broken.

Last time when I install it, I was using wiki to guide me, is there a installation guide somewhere?
Thanks

Is there a way to view the TV Guide Grid within the Android app the same way, or at least similar to, how I see it in the clients/extenders/webui?

Not currently, as I couldn't find an easy way to show variable size columns. Maybe that I could load the mobile web version in a webview at the TV Guide grid page...

EDIT: I just installed the mobile web version to check out its grid, and that's definitely something easier to do than what I had in mind...

The mobile web version? Do you mean using the WebUI plugin on the server, just launch a browser on the Android tablet and dial up the webui interface as I would on any computer in the house?

I am had to reinstall OS and SageTV due to harddrive crash.

Now I got my taSageTV working again but Mirage Streaming not working anymore for me. When I click on Mirage it open up and then quickly close with error "cannot open movie" or something like that.

Mirage was working before the crash so I must have missed a step somewhere.

Also I have 2 extenders and 1 client but when I added the name to it like Family Room, Master Bedroom etc. They all show up and it works but next day it back to the extender serial number that is currently powered on

Any idea what causes that or how to save the room names I set up?

Thank you
Bill

I don't suppose you enabled/disabled the SageTV "Service mode" after installing the plugins? As SageTV uses a different configuration file, so the previous setup parameters might not be found... Or maybe due to a crash or something it ended reverting to older values. The extenders become known to SageTCPServer as they actually connect to the server, so if you tried to configure them before, maybe something was wrong... So I'd say just rename then again and see if it sticks. Worse case, you can shutdown SageTV and its service, then edit sage.properties file.

As for the streaming not working, are you able to see the thumbnails/images? If not, that would indicate an issue accessing the jetty web server...

Tech Bill, make sure you change your jetty port to whatever you want then open the port on you firewall, if you have one on the pc and on your router. Also make sure to change the jetty user name and password on the sagetv server and on tasagetv. Then also change the port on tasagetv to appropriate port if you can. Not sure if that is an option.

P.S. I've notice when using mirage, this doesn't even use vlc. This just placeshifts like a laptop would.

Right, it's using the iOS Streaming plugin from jreichen, which uses HLS (HTTP Live Streaming). It is the recommended option, but it does not work on all devices, which is why I keep offering/looking for alternatives...

It's using the jetty port... So what are you trying to stream again, a simple recording?

Still cannot get mirage playing again.

I had mirage working before the OS crash but strange I can't get it working anymore and I double and triple checked everything....

I do see all the thumbnails and can control 2 extenders and 1 client from my tablet with no problem.

It a Toshiba Thrive Tablet what I am using.

I also got a question about my licence and will send you an PM or email instead of posting here.

Try to install aLogCat or another android log capture application and see if it reports anything odd when you select the Mirage streaming options...

Ok will try to install this log capture..

I just installed it on my android phone and same thing cannot open movie ...

It a Samsung Epic and I think I had it streaming on that phone before, I just stop using phone when I brought the tablet and use it to watch my shows instead.

I will get back with you on those logs

One more thing is that when I select -
Mirage Stream - I get an error message couldn't start movie

But if I select
Mirage Stream 150 or Mirage Stream 1240 or one of those with numbers on it - Nothing happens and no error message pop up either. Just nothing.

I just tested streaming on my tablet using http://devimages.apple.com/iphone/sa...bipbopall.m3u8 both Mirage and MX Video Player is able to stream it with no problem .

I noticed that MX Video Player seem to be a better quailty video than the Mirage one ..

But I still can't get it to Stream from taSageTV so that narrows it down to either my server set up or taSageTV
