You've hit the "option menu button" to configure the server location?

There is no options menu that I could see. I finally got it working by pressing on the x's and was able to get it working. Now if I could only figure out how to get streaming. Do I need to buy it to get streaming or is it not designed to do that?

If your Android device has hardware buttons, typically one is used to bring an extra option menu... On devices without buttons, it usually shows up as 3 vertical dots.

You will likely need to install third party video players, like MX Player and Mirage beta, for that, and try each on the video files until one works... The detailed screen have the button to play on device/stream, and the option menu has another half dozen methods.

I have the other mobile app installed and it seems like there is an option to let me watch on my phone.. Is there a way to get that to work with something like MXplayer or do I need your mobile app?

Jim "still going to play with plex though.."

Yes, and it's there... Are you seeing the equivalent of this screen:

Mobile app used the iOS streaming plugin, so yes it can be done. It's kinda hidden deep in it, and only works for recordings.

I'm just saying that I couldn't find it the first time I looked, I had to go through Brent's instruction to find it.

I got a Nook Color for christmas. I purchased the N2A card for the NC which has android 4.1. I bought this app and it works great. I don't have the stream option, just the play with. It really doesn't matter because I can play anything that is on my server. Thanks for a great app.

You tried with the latest versions and the "Play on device"?

I just tried both using the play on button and both failed to play. I have not followed this thread at all. So is the play on device you asked about software or is it built into your software or is it something I need to download and install?
Thanks
Wayne

The actual play back does depend on the available video player. So try with MX Player and/or Mirage beta...

I just got time to mess with this a little more. I have tried the default video player, MoBo Player, MX player, Mirage player and they all say can't start movie or can't play movie. Anything else I need to change or set? This not a big deal for me if I cannot get it to work, But did think I would mess with it a little.
Thanks
Wayne

And what were you trying to play/stream?

I am trying to play the shows I have recorded with sage tv. I select Tasagetv app and go into media center, then recordings, then select a show, then select play on, then select mirage, then select just once, and it says couldn't start movie.
Then again I am not 100% how this is suppose to work, Maybe this is all wrong

Thanks
Wayne

Make sure it's not a 1080i recording from the HD-PVR... You do see thumbnails and other images, right?
