HD200 - Display on SD TV is tilted

it never ceases to amaze me what kind of problems will crop up next....

Today, when i turned on my HD200, the display "tilts' to the left cropping off the upper right part of the display where i have the available diskspace bar showing cutting off part of it. I've tried adjusting the overscan/aspect ratio but it doesn't help. I've cycled the power - no help.

This is really weird. My other HD200 and HD100 extenders don't have an issue.

Although not really pronounced, i feel like i need to lean to the left to view the screen.

Des anyone have ny idea what is the problem? I hope it's not the HD200 but i suspect it is since it's too bizarre to be anyting but.

Is it a CRT TV? If so, then my guess is that the problem is in the TV, not the HD200. Either the yoke has come loose and rotated a bit, or there's some external magnetic field rotating the image. Believe it or not, even background geomagnetism can do this under some circumstances. If this is the first time you've used the HD200 with this TV, it could have been that way all along and you just never noticed it before because it was hidden by the TV's overscan. Try moving the TV, or even just rotating it in place, to see if that makes a difference.

If you have a second HD200, you could also try swapping them to see if the problem stays with the TV or moves with the HD200.

I agree (as usual) with Gkusnick. I had an old RCA CRT that had a good picture, but the image was slightly rotated. I never really noticed it while watching regular tv, but when you start using the Sage menus, it becomes quite obvious as all the menu/info screents/etc. start rolling "downhill" as my wife would put it. Try swapping units (as previously suggested) or try flipping over to regular television and watch something like CNN with the scrolling bar at the bottom (if you can), as that will show you very quickly if it is the television or the unit.

I've been using the extender for several months without an issue. I was going to try swapping it with another but later yesterday when i turing it on, the display was normal again. I have a battery quartz clock above the TV which has worked well for years but lately it has been slowing down randomly, stopping and then starting again. Even with new batteries. Maybe i have some strange radiation going on or something? Freaky!

Now my remote is sluggish when trying to fast forward. It works but there's a delay.
