Moonlight-Elecard MPEG2 Decoder Build 2.00.3611
This newest version of Elecard does not work with SageRecorder V1.4. Previously Elecard Build 2.00.2510 worked fine.
Can I please get a workaround or fix. Many thanks. Mike. |

This is something that has been fixed for SageRecorder 1.5 and SageTV 2.0. I would assume you will have to wait until then.
If you are a licensed SR user you can alwasy download the RC of SR 1.5. Last edited by mlbdude; 04-23-2004 at 07:21 AM. |

Thanks for the reply.
I posted also on http://www.shspvr.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4791 and found a workaround myself which I posted there. SHS has deleted it however, as the workaround involved infringing the Elecard licence (modifying there software). The workaround is open file "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Moonlight\mpgdec.ax" in a hex editor and look for the unicode text "Moonlight-Elecard MPEG2 Video Decoder". There are 6 occurances of this. The DirectX filter name is the 4th one you find. Change this to unicode "Elecard MPEG2 Video Decoder" with hex-zeros at the end to replace the extra 10 spaces. Re-register the filter with "regsvr32 mpgdec.ax" and version 3611 is now picked up by SageRecorder. I am a registered user of SageRecorder, and it's good to know this has been addressed/fixed in version 1.5, but to be honest with you my setup works 100% A-OK and I don't want to have to take my chances on a release candidate beta test version. I'll wait for the offical release before downloading. Mike. Last edited by mrr19121970; 04-25-2004 at 11:38 PM. |
