How to map the same physical channel to two logical channels?

Is it possible to map the same physical channel to two logical channel numbers?

Comcast's digital channel lineup sometimes has two logical channel numbers for the same HD channel, e.g. 2xx and 8xx for CBSHD, the 2xx ones are for logical grouping (CBSHD, CBS-weather1, CBS-weather2, etc), the 8xx ones are for HD grouping (only true HD channels are duplicated in 8xx range)

Is it possible to get the same kind of mapping in SageTV's channel lineup? Thanks.

Should be easy as a concept.

Just manually add a channel, then remap it how you want. The only problem would be how to tie it to the epg info for the US. Need to contact SageTV for this.

If you used xmltv for epg data then you could create 2 channels with the same epg data, just different names and then map both to the same physical channel number.

Thanks for pointing out the possibility of using xmltv. I think it can be done that way. For zap2it, I think it is impossible because the 2xx and 8xx logical channels share the same station ID in zap2it. Even if a channel can be manually added, sage will use it to replace the other existing channel.
