setting new source, won't load any "local market" EPG choices

I'm running stock SageTV V7.0.11.232.

I just got a USB-UIRT, and wanted to set it up with a comcast STB i had around (connected via Svideo to a Hauppauge 250).

I get the source selected, can view programming via S-Video in teh preview window, select USBUIRT for tuning, enter my US zip code, but then the screen that normally would show my 5 or 6 local cable options is totally blank.

I also tried setting up this card for regular TV tuning as I had been using it, and I still don't get the local market options.

I tried a couple of neighboring zips, but don't get anything. This server is online (I'm posting from it now), and Sage can view Youtube videos, etc, so it seems to be "seeing" the internet too.

I guess this isn't anything obvious so perhaps i should submit it to sage support.

Any resolution to this issue?

I just installed the official release version of SageTV 7 (I was on 7.0.15). I also needed to change my HD-PVR guide since they dropped my UltimateHD package and switched me to the Americas 200. I removed the HD-PVR as my source and planned on adding it back in with the new EPG.

However, just like you, when I get to the screen to select my local cable or satellite provider, there are no choices. The screen is blank. Like you I also tried some other zips with no luck.

My resolution involved some emailing logs back and forth between sage and I. However, the bottom line was that I had installed a plugin that interfered with the EPG.

Here is the final email from Sage:

Your problem is related to the EPG plugin you're using:

epg/epg_import_plugin=uk.co.mdjcox.epgplugin.EpgPlugin
 
EPG plugins are not supported by SageTV directly; so you'd need to contact the author of the plugin for support.

But according to your original report; you're in the US. So you can likely
just remove that line (while SageTV is not running) and then you'll be fine
since I'd think you just want to use our US EPG data rather than something
from an unsupported plugin.

Matt91 - you are the bomb! I checked and had that line in my sage properties file as well. So I deleted it and I'm back in business.

I'm not sure why I would have that line either since I too am in the US.

That line came from the Web Radio and TV Encoder plugin.
