Folder not showing up when list videos by

folder. It shows up when I list video import directories in setup. I can use Sage7 browser and it lists/plays videos in this particular folder but again, folder does not show up when list videos by folder is selected...Users/privileges the same for this folder as all others. Any suggestions?

Would you please not write

up your first sentence as part of both the title & post? That makes it harder to read.

Is the folder view set to use Separate or Combined mode? While in the Folders view, use Options -> Menu Options -> Folder Display Style.

The root import folder names are not shown in the Combined style, but the videos in those folders & their subfolders are. In Separate style, all import folder names are listed separately.

Setup in Separate Mode...and this particular folder is not listed. I have 9 other imported video folders that do appear under "separate folder view".

Is it a subfolder of another folder that is already an import folder? Is it a network path & the SageTV server application can't access that path?

You could probably check the debug log to see if it says anything about that path after a scan update is activated.

No, it is not a subfolder. Yes, it is a network path, as is all my imported video folders. Yes the SageTV application can access files because I can play them if I browse directory within SageTV. Anyway, I got the folder to show up by renaming the files in the folder (removed the id numbers at end of names). These files are mkvs that I converted from recorded ts files that are not (moved) in any of the assigned SageTV recorded or Imported Video directories. But, if I listed all SageTV recorded videos, they would show up as "Archived Videos". If I unchecked "Archived", the folder still would not show up. Only after renaming the files did the folder show. Don't know if this is a bug or I am just missing something, but can't recall this happening with sagetv 6. Thanx for your response...

If they are listed as recordings, then SageTV sees them as recordings & they aren't going to be imports. They can still be seen as recordings based on the filename or metadata stored in the file; in your case, it seems to have been the filename.

OK, so what I've learned is if an imported video folder doesn't contain any SageTV recognized imported video files, it will not be listed as an Imported Video folder. Thanx...
