V7, Any UI, Slow Image Loading

Im not sure what changed behind the scenes in V7, but as of beta .11, all folder.png images are very slow to load. What makes matters worse, is V7 seems to want to reload these images constantly.. Click the down arrow? reload all images. User selected a music album? reload all art.

If reverting to the sage 6 UI, the same behavior, but this did not occur in V6 core.

Is there a way to either cache the folder.xxx images or at least stop reloading them every 2 seconds? It seriously takes forever to navigate any list of recordings/music, etc.

This also occurs on the auto-generated episode images it gathers from reading a frame from the recording. That wants to reload all the time as well.


Obviously its not murder on the server itself, but through placeshifter or an MVP, its a good second per image and when its loading that image, user input is useless.

Yes .. The UI is Very SLOW on the MVP extender!!!!. The PC works just fine.
I am able to move to next item on the main menu and the images takes several seconds to change. This makes it really difficult for the folder navigation - just too slow on the MVP

I'm using the MBDiamond theme for my MVP. It has been working pretty smoothly, with only occasional slow downs.

I think that this is a recognized bug that is supposed to be fixed in the next beta (to tired atm to do a search for the thread).

I have the same issue on my HD100. It also takes several seconds for the background images to load as I change catagories (eg photos to online). I'm hoping that's part of the same issue.
