Twitter support in SageAlert v1.x extended to 16 Aug 2010 [please, no replies]
Twitter has extended the use of basic auth in its API to 16 Aug 2010, which means SageAlert v1.x will be able to post tweets until then. Twitter had previously announced that it would be removing basic auth support from its API on 30 Jun 2010, which is why I originally posted that SageAlert v1.x would no longer work with Twitter as of today.
Please no replies or support questions in this thread as SageAlert v1.x is no longer supported. This is just an FYI for those users who continue to use SageAlert v1.x.
SageAlert v2.x, now in beta, is available for SageTV v7.x only and can be installed via the Plugin Manager. SageAlert v2.x implements full OAuth authentication with Twitter and will therefore work with Twitter after basic auth is deprecated and removed from the Twitter API.
