I'm an animal person - all kinds - but I do have a real soft spot for cats... they're more like roommates and less like pets, really.

SO I decided to join the club and stick a pic of my boys up as my avatar...

That's an old product -- the last time I saw it advertised, it was for small dogs. I guess the company decided to expand their market!

Oh... and pawn's avatar just _had_ to change so my previous comments don't make sense any more... Actually, I think that one was an infiltrator whose cover was blown in this thread!

Sorry to pick on you again pawn... but, compare your avatar to the photo on the site I'm about to list -- if you remove the glasses & dye the hair black... separated at birth?

Exactly my point! If Bruce Vilanch is a man and you say that Mookie is a man... well, you get where I was leading, right??

LOL I just saw this.

Actually, I wasn't the originator of the cat avatar. I was the 2nd one here to do it. mlamutt (one of our admins) was the first one.

And Narflex isn't the name of my cat since I've seen that question floating around.

Is this thread the answer to the name question, unless the avatar has changed since then, or he was referring to the cat in the attachment: Who's the kitty Jeff? If for no other reason to check out that thread, you have _got_ to view the attachment in the 2nd post of that thread!

My cat was named Claude. I wanted the spelling to be Clawed, due to the size of his feet/claws... but he soon became D. Claude.

That's not funny that's EVIL! He reminds me of my first cat, he was soo evil he name was Satan(really). Until I married my wife(cat person) I was always a dog person(cat attack in my youth), but then we found Satan at the local pet store. He was in with the German Shepherd puppies(no lie). When I ask why, they told me he was always atacking the other kittens, so they moved him in with the puppies. I knew I had to have him at that moment!

He attacked almost everyone except me and children. He even attacked my wife for the first week. He'd hide under the bed and run out and chase her whenever she got up. The number of times I watched her run to the bathroom in our old apartrment.

The first night we had him, she woke up to find him setting on her chest staring her in the face. She claims she claims she tried to quietly wake me up but that if she made too much noise he'd hiss. I never saw this but she swears to it. Once I explained to her that he should be treated like a dog trapped in a cat's body they came to an agreement.

Since then we've had 7 more cats(all normal) over the years. However if it weren't for Satan I doubt I'd ever of realized how much a cat's respect is worth. Cats make you earn their respect, where dogs almost always give it unconditionally. I really agree with the comment about cats being more like room mates.

PS:If you're wondering why I don't have a picture of my cats up...It wouldn't be fair to put up just one. Try fitting 3 cats into one picture that small. It just looks like a bunch of fur.

Yea, that's why I think I am a dog person, you can usually tell what they are thinking or doing.

Cats scare me, walking around quietly, ready to pounce on you when you are relaxing. I have met many mean cats.
