using RCA inputs

hi guys, my parents have been wanting to by a PVR now, (we still used the old school VCR's)

We have a Pc in the kitchen which we don't use and im thinking about turning into into a home media centre and hooking up to the main tv in the living room.

My issue.

My parents have a international tv subscription, which uses its out satellite box, it has RCA outputs. (i know you can get a convertor to s-video).

My question is can I by a TV tuner card that has an ability to hook up the normal antenna(for Digital tV), and also hook up the satellite. Basically I want to be able to change the sage tv video source easily, (like from antenna to av1), and at av1 they can watch the international tv and also record it. ( maybe can also use this to hook up the VCR when needed too) We don't need the ability to change the channels with one remote, they can use the satellite's remote. And to be able to record from it. I had trouble using windows media centre with it, and it kept asking or a IR receiver, even though i could see the picture, so i left it at that.

Hoping someone here can help me out, if you don't get me, I can elaborate. Simply explaining what I need to do, or should I go out and just by a PVR
(looking at the panasonic xw-380 atm)

Cheers

TJ

Consider the Hauppauge HVR-2250.

It's compatible with SageTV.
It can capture from 2 sources simultaneously (analog or digital, SD or HD).
It supports any combination of:
  • ATSC (over the air digital antenna via Coax)
  • NTSC (over the air analog antenna via Coax)
  • Clear-QAM (unencrypted digital Cable TV via Coax)
  • RCA Composite
  • S-Video
  • RCA Component
Depending which version you buy, some come with a remote control plus IR Receiver and 2 IR Blasters. The IR Blasters can control a cable or satellite box.
