TT S2-3650 on encrypted channels?

hi,

Anyone having luck getting TechnoTrend connect S2-3650 CI (DVB-S2 USB2 TV-Box) working on encrypted channels? If so, which CAM were you using + which driver combination (I'm on Win7)?

DiseqC seems to be working on monobloc dual lnb and recording from fta channels is working fine. I'm getting epg data over both encrypted and unencrypted from Astra 19,2°E.

With dvbviewer recorder plugin this is working fine but with SageTV 7 I was looking to get the number of components in my solution reduced...

thanks,
Jan

Hi,

I am using this tuner with SageTV via the DVBViewer network plugin and I have also been testing it with LM Smart DVB plugin.

It works well with FTA channels directly from within SageTV (as long as you use the latest drivers and firmware), I did need an update file from SageTV support to get it working properly.

At the moment Technotrend cams are not active within SageTV, I may be wrong but I think SageTV are looking to add native support for Technotrend CAMs in the near future, if this is correct then this would be great news.

For information when using DVBViewer the tuner works well with a Diablo Wifi cam if that help?

I am using Windows 7 64 bit.

David

I've checked with the German importer if the SDK that was available was the last one and that was confirmed so I sent that one over to SageTV. I need to check with Qian what happened.

I went for SmartWI and that is working fine also.

I had hoped some more people would jump on this and say 'me too' - but not that many have responded...

I am definately very interested so for the record "me too", Technotrend cards are reliable and from what I can see widely used by the SageTV community so I am sure that many more people would be "me too" also.

The problem maybe that I only came across your post by chance or is there another post somewhere asking for Technotrend cams to have native support within SageTV?

Thanks,

David
