Client can't find server, placeshifter can.

I have licenced both placeshifter and client. I'm running V7 beta and ran the update utility until no updates were left for the server (as of 15 minutes ago). I bought placeshifter with sagetv and its worked perfectly all along. As soon as the interface appears so too does the server in the server listing.

I installed client 7.0.16 and it cannot automatically find the server. When I type in the server name as requested, it cannot find it. When I use the IP it still cannot find it. The Client is on a windows 7 machine while the server is on an XP pro machine. Both are on the same LAN with the same 192.168.0.x style addresses (no 192.168.1.x messes).

Any clue why the client can't find the server? I did have the demo working last week...

Have you checked your firewall settings on the client machine to make sure it is not blocking Sage?

I got it working but it wasn't the firewall. Don't really know what it was as I just uninstalled/reinstalled sage and it decided to work.

Hi,

I have SageTV V7 running fine on my server machine.
I am setting up a client now.

I tried using the license and ran the SageTV.exe -client option
However, SageTV client does not find my SageTV server.

Switched off firewalls, I can ping form one machine to another.

Any ideas?
I can't even buy a new client license (if that is the issue), since the store is closed.
