Handfull of cover not displaying

Hi Plucky,

I'm having an issue with my movie wall. Some of my movies cover downloaded with my movies does not show up in smm. Only the grey generic cover with the name is showing. The files are there in their respective folder. My movie client is connected to my movie server. I've tried to rebuild the database and refresh imported media but without succes. I've also reinstalled smm. What am i missing ? Thanks

Okay it should be recaching the covers on your client

try shutting down the client and deleting the sagetv\sagetv\cache\sagemymovies folder and then restarting the client to see it if recaches.

That seems to have done the trick ! Thanks alot. Speaking of covers, is it normal that i can see the covers loading when i scroll down, meaning that i see the grey covers with the names and a second or two later the covers shows up ?

If you want it that way That allows for faster scrolling (instant) but if your client pc is fast enough you can turn off poster fade in for that view under custom and they will all load before scrolling and be almost as fast.

I also have an issue with covers not showing up in Movie Wall even though they are updated and present in the MyMovies database. I waited a couple days and the covers are still not showing up in SMM. I did recache using the SMM menu option and I have it to show all movies... could there be something wrong with my database file?

I am running everything on the server and I have the MyMovies icon on the taskbar, but the application is closed. I did rebuild the database file a handful of times early in the release before I found out that wasn't a smart idea. I also have Sage do a library scan every 45 minutes. Any suggestions?

No, I'm not using a cover style. I did some more digging and I think I am running into similar issues as on this that talks about running MyMovies with BMT. I will try your suggestion to have MyMovies not write a properties file and see what happens. Thanks so much for your help.

That has nothing to do with the covers not showing that is a completely different issue altogether. To figure out why certain covers are not displayed I will need to see a log with the level trace set see the wiki on how to do this.

Be sure and stop and restart the service after changing it.
