How to close down Sage Recorder

Been using SageTV & Client for a while. just downloaded SageRecorder to see how it works, and get a network encoder up and running.

How the heck do I close this program? If I hit the red X/close window, it just minimizes to the tray. if I close via right-click on the menu item on the botton, it just minimizes to the tray. I have to go to Task Manager and end the task, which then responds with not-responding are you sure.

wassup?

Right click on the icon. It should then give you the 3 following options:
Restore SageRecoder
Exit SageRecoder
Cancel

Just select the Exit

Just to be clear I am referring to the icon that appears in the notification area after you click on the X/close window box.
Do you see the same type options when the right click on a sleeping client icon?if not, it may useful if you supplied the OS you are using.

I'm on XPHome, and no, I uninstalled and re-installed, and still don't see those options. I'm still doing the "end process" in the task mgr to make it go away.

I suppose it's not really that big a deal, but it is a bit harsh to have to do this to shut it down. thanks for any help you can provide.

What version of sagerecorder are you using?
When you move your cursor over a sleeping client icon, do you see a flyover that says SageTV?
When you move your cursor over the recorder icon do you see a flyover that says SageRecorder or something like "Recording xxx at ..."?
When you sleep your client and right click on the icon do you get those 3 options?

The only reason that I know of that you would not get the 3 options is if the SageRecorder may be hung for some reason. Today, my client hung on me and I noticed that I no longer got the options. I also had use the task mgr to end the client process. I don't recall ever seeing this problem with the SageRecorder.
