In the TV menus it's quite possible the options you're looking for is a toggle between YUV and RGB colour space for the input.

YUV is the video range and RGB is the PC range.

The problem of course is as the PC and extender come from the same Amp output you'll need to keep toggling depending if you're using the PC or the Extender, unless there is an option in your Amp to perform conversion.

My HD300 system information says the "Window" is 1024x576. How do you change it to 1280x720?

You need to be on the latest firmware that supports that. It's not a setting you choose.
