Can't add qt or divx to library

Although, I'm not exactly sure that I'm supposed to be able to. For some reason my install doesn't include the .pdf manual Anyhow, I've got quicktime and divx 5.11 installed on the system. I placed a bunch of different flavors of vid files in the import folder but only .mpg files show up in the video library. Is there something I'm missing or do I need to covert everything to mpeg2?

Thanks.

btw, outstanding software. All my tivo friends are jealous but are loath to admit it.

in your properties file, there should be a line starting with 'seeker/library_import_filename_extensions' which has a list of extensions after it, make sure your divx file extension is in there, .avi, .divx, whatever.

ive added .mov to the list, however sage refuses to play my mov's, even with qt, or qtalternative installed..

Thanks. I found the file "Sage.Properties" and made the changes but something funny is happening. Whenever I wake Sage or restart it the properties files reverts to the previous state, losing the changes. I even flagged it as read only to see what would happen and it still got overwritten.

Is there a flag somewhere that needs to be set to read in the properties file properly?

Thanks again.

You need to have Sage completely closed (not sleep) when making changes to the properties file.
