Metadata/properties for manual recordings?

I thought I remembered reading somewhere that manual recordings can have properties/metadata attached to them. Is this the case? If so, I'm not seeing anything in the API docs. I realize MediaFile.GetMediaFileMetadata() is an option, but I'm looking to attach properties/metadata to a scheduled manual recording before it starts and therefore, presumably, before the MediaFile object is created for the scheduled recording.

I can probably use the UserRecordAPI to accomplish this, if necessary, but then I've got to write a thread that cleans it up. I was hoping my initial thought was correct and that there is a way to attach metadata to a scheduled, but not yet started, manual recording?

Are you talking about scheduled manual recordings (using existing EPG airings), or Timed Recordings? (no EPG data). Either way, I believe each is represented by an Airing object - which is also then potentially passable to the SetMediaFileMetadata api call. though I haven't tried it to verify that it works.

What you want is Get/SetManualRecordProperty in the AiringAPI.

Thank you! I must have looked at AiringAPI at least 3 times looking for that and overlooked it.
