SMMFolders question

To the authors ... Hats off to you for providing My Movies integration to the community !!!! The time and commitment is well appreciated. The additions to UI are top class.

I am seeking more clarification on SMMFolders beyond what I found here:

It's unclear why I'd use this. I'm hoping it will provide me a way to provide a separate view of movies that are not stored in MM Collection Mgr?? Such as my home videos (or videos I'd simply keep separate from my main collection).

If anyone has more detailed doc or typical use cases for using SMMFolders please reply.

No currently you can't view movies that are not in collection manager. You can however exclude movies in mymovies from the default sagetv videos view and use that for home videos.

Folders is simply meant for people that organize their movies in different folders for various reasons. I put all the "daughter" approved shows in their own folder for instance and it allows me to find her movies quick in my theater room and block everything else in her room
