How does one use NFS?

Hello,
I am trying to use NFS with my HD300. I believe I am supposed to type the following in my network path:

nfs://mediaserver

I did a similar thing which gave me smb and that works.
\\mediserver

But NFS is not working at all. Has anyone actually gotten it working? What am I doing wrong?

Let me add that I am using an that I have tried getting into an Unraid server and ReadyNAS. No problems with samba. NFS has been instrumental with my other media players in giving me a more stable performance from my higher quality and capacity HD videos.

Thanks in advance!

Thumbs up

D'oh! I finally remembered that I had a similar problem connecting with my Tvix to my unRaid server via NFS. I had to use a different path for NFS than I did Samba.

So nfs: //mediaserver/video

becomes

nfs://192.168.1.20/mnt/user/video

I won't even tell you guys how much time I lost on this. lol.

The videos that were stuttering like mad on my wireless gaming bridge are behaving quite well. They were a 720p and 1080p. I'll have to test them for the ability to watch from beginning to end.

NFS Folder Path

Could anyone who has been able to get it to access an nfs drive help?

My nas shows...

DiskStation> showmount -e
Export list for DiskStation:
/volume1/DVD *

What is the path I put in to access it from the HD300? I have tried several combinations and can't seem to get it to work.

Is it..

nfs://192.168.1.10/mnt/user/DVD

or

nfs://192.168.1.10/DVD

or something else altogether.

THanks
