Hd300 HDMI CONTROL like the one PS3 has
Is it possible to control HD300 trough the remote control of the TV the same way sony devices do it?

I think what you're talking about is HDMI CEC (Consumer electronics control). Explained halfway down HDMI's Wiki page. I believe the chip in the HD300 supports CEC but has not been programmed to do anything useful. My tv used to complain about a CEC error when my HD300 switched resolutions, I submitted a bug to sagetv and they said they'd see if there was a way to turn it off. I haven't seen that error recently so I assume they did find a way to turn it off, since it wasn't programmed to do anything useful in the first place...

SO Sage can you enable that function?
Will help me a lot.
Or how long would the IR extender cable can be?
I need 30 or more feet.
I am planning on finely putting all my hd300 and hd200 in the closet where my server is.

i have a receiver cable in my LR that is 35 feet long... but it goes into a repeater system... i have a feeling though that this should work... its easy enough to test it out...

Yes. I guess I should take my 5-6 extra IR cables and daisy chain them
