In addition the SQJ Web UI says "Not compatible" I wonder if that is really the case or if it just doesn't like V9 as the version number?
Any luck with this? I just moved to v9 and was going to configure SJQ, but got the "not compatible" note for the web interface too. I guess I could try just copying over the properties files from v7 and hope for the best...

EDIT: I edited my sjqagent.properties and crontab files and everything seems to be working fine. No UI, but tasks are running. It looks like someone just needs to update the valid SageTV versions the web UI plugin supports. Right now it says up to 7.1.9.254.

There is another issue where you have to copy the menu item out of the stock UI and add it to Gemstone. At least that works for me. And I am pretty sure that I have the UI working now, but I don't know that I have really tried using SJQ yet.

Are you using Gemstone?

I am travelling for the next week so I won't really be able to try this out for a bit.

I'm just playing around with Gemstone currently. I know enough now to be able to add things to the menu. I really only use the web UI for SJQ, though. Maybe someone can be convinced to have the web UI plugin transferred to them and update the SageTV versions it's compatible with...

Premiere Alerts

I figured since at least one person has expressed interest, I'd post this script for other people to use. It's the same one I've used for years now. It's a little modified from the one that was originally posted here.

This script will return the HD channel if there is an HD channel for an airing. Otherwise it will just return the SD channel.

This script also turns the show title into a URL that links to either your external domain name or internal hostname of your SageTV server. You need to tell it what address to use; it will not figure it out for you.

It seems the google code repository is broken, any chance of migrating to the sourceforge location? Coming back to SageTV after 5+ years.

Does anyone have the user's guide? I'm looking to try and use this again
and I don't quite remember how it works! :-(

I have a bunch of orphaned crap files with no video file taking up space and directory entries! I'm using SAD but there are still a bunch I want to clean up.

CommercialDetector will clean those up for you. Add the extensions of the "crap files" to the list of files to cleanup.

Is that supposed to work even if the related video file has already been removed?

Yes, but not automaticly. You can tell CommercialDetector to clean up orphaned files from in it's Configure Plugin screen, and it will scan all your recording folders, and remove all files that don't have an associated video file.

There is no Configure plugin screen from Commercial detector?
Only View plugin details and view website buttons?

Jim

Edit: Nevermind... I was in the all plugins sections.. when I went into installed plugins section I see the configure!

Will it look in the import directories as well? I often move shows to the import directory (network drive) when my main drives fill up. I believe I have a bunch to clean up there!

I ran the scan and it said like 250.. Then I clicked it again and it went to 0. Where do I see what files it deleted? Is there a log for it.. or do I need it to be set to verbose beforehand?

Thanks,

Jim

And Thanks, Tom for this feature! (And Fuzzy for pointing it out!)

It saved me the trouble of writing some sort of perl script to look for orphaned files! (Or trying to figure out how to use SJQ4 again!)

As long as you had debug logging on in sage it will be in the sagetv_0.txt log file.

The SJQ user guide is up now at Sourceforge https://sourceforge.net/p/sagetv-add...Sjq4UserGuide/

But some of the links, including images, are broken.

Has anybody had Java issues this past week? SJQ hasn't ran since the last windows update in Windows 10. The usual fixes aren't doing it this time.

Looking for a better Move script

Looking for script to move recording from local drive to NAS that will retain any flag settings (archived, watched, don't like) and does not involve an Import Media scan. Something along the lines of the old SJQ Relink?

Out of curiosity, why not just trigger a rescan and let sage do what sage does?

Because I'm noticing buffering issues (pauses) when watching something and the rescan is occurring. Also, seems inefficient to rescan thousands of files for the few that got moved each time

Yes, we are recording hoarders.
