Anyway plug-in to publish Google talk messages to screen?

Is there a plugin that works with google talk? What I want to do is have my google talk incoming messages flash to the TV screen. I get a few alerts via googletalk when machines at work have issues, if I can get the messages to display on the screen it would be helpful.

I was thinking I could use the Neilm infopopup module to get the message on screen. The issue then is getting the messages into that plugin

He accepts connections via telnet so the Neilm side it no that difficult.

It seems like there is java code out there that can listen to googetalk. It sounds like a few lines of code could get the messages passed via telnet to Neilm's tool but I never programed in Java before.

Anyone think this is possible or connect to googletalk another way?

google talk uses the open jabber apis, so if you find a java jabber client api, you'd be all set. (I did a quick google and came up with this)
