Is there a way to make all of your extenders share the same properties file?

I have five HD200 extenders and whenever I do something like turn on a plugin, of an option (like using the slideshow screensaver) I have to do it on all five extenders. Is there a way to have all of your extenders use one centralized .properties file.

No there isn't, but you don't really want them all trying to write to the same file anyway. What you want is some way of automatically propagating setting changes from one client to another. There was some talk a while back of creating a plugin to do that, but I don't know if anything ever came of it.

Of course, there are only like 3 or 4 configurable things right now, but the MECHANISM that propagates them works very nice.

I'll forego the obvious joke about the "mythical phoenix" , but were the phoenix actually real, I'm sure they would be propagating like rabbits!

Could DIRMON or one of the other scheduling tools help with this? Sage would have to be shut down first though since it writes changes to those files at shutdown.

if you are using the sage service then turn it off and open the sage application on the server. you also need to delete the sage client properties files for the extenders. open up the sage application on the server and set the properties the way you want them. exit the sage application on server. turn back on the sage service and when you start the extenders again it will get the settings you set on the server you might have to make minor changes like screen size on the individual extenders depending on your tvs.
