The problem I'm having is if I use this plugin to launch umceplayer5 for tmt I get terrible stuttering and ultimately after 15 minutes or so it crashes. If I launch tmt in standalone player I have no remote support like I have in mce but it plays fine. Any idea why that is? I hate having to always get out a mouse to watch a bluray...

Any help whatsoever on my question? Why is it that if I use the script provided here, it will simply load the program and not play? nothing happens at all. Even if I tell the program to play, it does nothing.

This is on a client machine, do the directories on the server housing the bluray/dvd directories need to be shared? Or simply in Sage import directories?

The client has to have the same path to the file as the server does. I think most here use UNC paths in sage, so that they are all mapped the same regardless of what client you are using. personally, I prefer to Map and share the drives at the root, so my M: drive on my server is shared as //SageTV/M, then on my clients, I map that share to M:, then my import folder, for instance, would be M:\KidsMovies.

Ok, thanks for the tips! I have some sharing to do, and mapping. Hopefully that will make it work!

Please Help I can't find the plugin. I read the thread and I have no idea where UIMod section of the Plugin Repository is. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

You get it in Main Menu/Setup/SageTV Plugins from within SageTV 7.

My own question is this, is there a way to make Sage auto sleep when I select play bluray? Right now I select tha then hit power real fast to sleep sage. If I don't m remote will lose focus from TMT when sage asks to change a channel or some other event.

I use girder for my control, and when it receives my 'StartTMT' event, It sends a 'Stop' to sage, and then starts controlling TMT.

I have had Girder installed several times, and as computer and tech savvy as I am, I can't seem to understand it, lol.

When I put a dvd or bluray in the optical drive it uses Tmt5 to play it but when I select a movie that is stored on shared folder setup in sage as a video import folder, it plays with the sage player rather than tmt 5. Is this normal behavior?
Is there a way to have it play using tmt5 when selecting a movie from my list of videos?

All in individual folders. Most are mkv, some are dvd rips with audio and video folder under main movie folder name.

if it's an MKV, it's not a bluray or DVD anymore, so no, this will not launch the external player. This will only work for items that sage still recognizes as DVD or BluRay, meaning they are either VIDEO_TS, or BDMV folders, or ISO's of the same. There's not really much benefit in launching a plain video file in an external player (that I'm aware of).

The dvd menu navigation icons don't show in sage but they do with tmt5. I mainly want to play the the dvds with this plugin so I have the navigation icons, otherwise I have to get up and click the dvd menu with my mouse with sage. I've searched everywhere to fix the menu icon problem and can't find anything, but I get them with tmt5.

DVD menus should function fine with sage. If they are not it is likely the renderer you have selected in detailed setup -> DVD. With win7, you should have EVR chosen.

I've tried all combinations with different decoders and renderers and still don't get the nav icons, but that's ok. I set up a dvd and bluray flows in gemstone that displays only those movies and it works as I wanted to. It uses tmt5 for those movies and sage for the mkv files. I setup eventghost to control tmt5 and that works fine as well.

the dvd menu has for instance..play, setup, extras. Either below them or to the left there is a dot or dash or something to show what item is currently selected. When using sage as the viewer these icons are not there so there is no way of knowing what will happen when I hit select. If I go left, right, up or down with the remote nothing changes. The selections are not highlighted and don't change as I try to go to a particular menu item. I also have a test system that I try everything on before moving it to the main system that I actually use and the icons show on that system and they both have the same operating system.

Right, that is commonly due to the renderer selected. Sage uses a different set of decoder/renderer settings for DVD's (in Detailed Setup -> DVD) than it does for everything else (which is in Detailed Setup -> Audio/Video). Make sure EVR is selected on the DVD menu, and Microsoft decoder, and everything should work fine for DVD menus.

You're right, it does work properly now. I thought those settings were only for a dvd disc played from the dvd drive. THANKS!! But I can also now play bluray movies because of this plugin and tmt5. Thanks so much!
