issue with audio and comp out on HD300

Having 2 issues with the HD300 in extender mode...

Was wondering if anyone else has issues playing files captured via HDPVR or bluray rip, specifically the audio? When I play an imported video file there is no audio, if I pause/unpause the audio begins. No delay or any issues like that, it just won't pass audio unless I pause/unpause.

Also wondering if anyone sees the screen flicker on their TV/projector when using component out 1080i? Using HDMI doesn't flicker at 1080i but component flickers on scene transitions (light to dark, or fast moving action scenes) and is extremely annoying.

Let us know if you still have component out issues after updating to the latest beta firmware.

thank you for your suggestion demo. I upgraded to the latest beta but it still does it. I might add that I have component out of the HD300 to the input of the HDPVR. I know the HDPVR is very particular about what input it's receiving. Booting up the HD300 I see the screen flicker on and off and see the "No Input" message from the HDPVR numerous times. I think the signal is just off reference a little and the HDPVR is making the screen flicker. I can confirm that captured content via the HD300-HDPVR method does not flicker when reviewing on the PC (or HDMI mode on the TV)..or previewing with TMC, no flicker. The HD200 and about 10 other devices have never made the video flicker which is why I thought it was the HD300. The HD200 and the same video content via component or HDMI does not flicker the same TV/HDPVR setup.

any other suggestions? I can try and remove the HDPVR from the setup and I'm betting the problem will go away (tv is just dumb enough not to care), but that is definitely not something I want to live with. Running the HD300 in 720p/component introduces a lot of deinterlacing artifacts (if the video source is interlaced) and is unbearable. Progressive content that way is fine.

I guess I don't understand the point of outputting out of the HD300 and into the input of the HD-PVR. What does this accomplish? I run the HD300 into a 720P TV with no deinterlacing artifacts regardless of the source being 720p or 1080i. How is the 720P media source created?

thank you for the reply! I have a component switcher that my Dish, PS3, Xbox360, HD300, and anything else I hook up runs through and funnels to the HDPVR so I can capture content from different sources. If I wanted an easy way to compress a very large HD file (say from a bluray) it's easy to do, in 720p or 1080i, playing from the PS3 or a rip from the PS3/HD300. Interesting combination?
