USB-UIRT Range?
I have a Serial IRMAN and was thinking about getting the USB-UIRT to use for my remote controller receiver. (I have a All-4-One remote I have trained for use with SageTV using my IRMAN) instead of my IRMAN. This would free up a serial port which I really want. Does anyone know how the receiving range on the USB-UIRT compares to the IRMAN?

How big is your room? My UIRTs receive fine from 12' away.

Wouldn't the receiving range depend mostly on the strength of the remote's emitter, not the receiver? I suppose one receiver could be more sensitive than another, but the remote is the one sending the signal. (?)
