Plugin: Ortus - Looking for a few beta testers

Hey All,

We are looking for 1 or 2 people that would be interested in beta testing a few Ortus Plugins, these include:

1. Dynamic Main Menu
2. Media Browser
3. Ortus Metadata Scrapper
4. Web metadata tool
5. User Profiles ( per user screen layouts, per user playback, etc...)
6. Weather Graphics Optional ( separate download since it is large, will use default images without it)

If you are interested, please bare in mind that this is an early BETA version and there will be issues and unforeseen problems... Probably

We would also appricaite your views and suggestions for improvements before the final release.

We hope to have a beta version ready for testing this weekend.

*The webui requires Flash 10.1

Just PM me if you are interested...

You can see more of the plugins in action at:

It should work on any. I am testing it on Linux and other members are using it on Windows...

I would love to test on a Mac if V7 ever comes out...

Thanks,
Jeff

Of course I'd love to help test. I've taken a break from the music ui for now since ortus and phoenix look to be doing the same thing, so my free time and testing rig are open. Maybe plucky will put in a good word for me??? Please...

Holy Crap! If this is only the beta work, i can't imagine what it would look like in finished form! This looks like a whole new UI not just plugins!

Beautiful.

Happy to help. I've done a fair bit of Beta testing in my time, though I have less available time nowadays with frequent trips.
I'd run it on a spare HD200.

WOW. Beautiful work. Nice to see you guys still plugging away.

I have 2 full clients that I can test with. No extenders. But everything has been way too stable lately....

Seriously, I'd be glad to help. The wife's away this weekend

Currently the only active members are jphipps and myself..... I just uploaded a new video showing user watched playback in action for a currently recording media file, obviously it will also work for any other media including DVD/BluRay.

I thought you specifically parted ways? Regardless, I'm glad you and jphipps are working together and putting out some very classy looking stuff! Thanks again for all the hard work you guys put into this it looks great.

Can't wait to take it for a test drive.

Looks awesome!

I really appreciate the videos. Any chance you guys could whip up a video showing the dynamic menu functionality (renaming a menu item, moving items around, creating a new menu item that is a shortcut to some submenu item, etc.)? I watched the one above, adding a genre and filtering, but I'd like to see the functionality of altering main- and sub-menu items.

If not, no big deal, spend the time continuing to work on it!

Ok, I uploaded a new video to our channel on youtube (5 videos in total now) showing how to create, delete etc menu items..... you can also create more complex menus using the other options with the static contexts, globals ect. I've also shown how you can add specific backgrounds to any menu item. By the way can add your own background images when the time comes simply by adding the image to a folder in the Ortus theme, the same applies for user profile images although I've supplied 4 simple images to start with (the little red pawn on the bottom right).

WOW OMFG. If you need another beta. I'm here! I love the user profiles. I could set my wifey, myself, kids. Looked at all the videos and looks amazing and SOOOOO customizable. Lots and lots of tweaks you can do. I had to rewind the video several times to really look at some things you can do.

btw, you were playing annie mac bbc radio. How did you get radio? Is it just a podcast?
