Upgrade Advice
Since upgrading to the HD-PVR my Nvidia 8800GTS512 has experienced lockups and some stuttering on H.264 playback on my direct attachd 58" plasma on the main media server. My question is would I have a better experience upgrading the video card to a Nvidia GTX460-1GB such as at Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-PCI-Expre...317120&sr=8-42 or another video card that you would recommend.
Or should I get a HD Theater 300 and not use the 8800 except for server maintenance. The $50 difference is no big deal. Just looking for the best overall experience. My setup is a Nvidia 680SLI 2.13 Duo MB with 6 GB 1333 Corsair Ram, GTS8800512K video, 7 TB eSata drives, 58" Panasonic plasma DVI attached, and Windows 7 64 bit Professional. All advice appreciated! Doug

You are better off getting the HD-300 and using the 8800 for just server maintenance. Let the server do its job and keep recording the shows and use your HD-300 for all playback.
