Switching OS from Win7 32bit to 64bit ... how to retain all Sage data?

I am planning to upgrade Win7 from 32bit to 64bit, which means a full install. I have Sage running now on the 32bit and I have read that I shouldn't have any problems with 64bit. I assume I may have to re-install Sage since Java will be 64bit now. However, I want to retain as much of my Sage environment as possible (i.e. Recordings, Favorites, etc, etc). What files do I need to backup / restore (i.e. Sage.properties) to make this happen and is there any merging necessary?

Sage.properties
SageClient.properties

Wiz.bin

Do not copy .properties files from one machine to another, or from one OS to another on the same machine. They contain settings specific to your machine's device drivers and folder structure.

V7 .properties files also contain information about installed plugins that will be incorrect if you drop them into a fresh install on a new machine or OS. This can interfere with your ability to install or uninstall plugins in the future.

If you're doing a new installation of Sage, even on the same machine, keep your old Wiz.bin but configure everything else from scratch through the UI.

Thanks Greg. I wondered if the properties files would change if I re-installed, so its a good thing I checked. I take it the Wiz.bin file holds all the normal data like Recording information, Favorites information, etc.

Yes, Wiz.bin has your viewing history, favorites, and the location of all the recordings. What you should do is get everything re-installed (tuners, import and recording directories, etc) and then switch out the new empty wiz.bin with your backed up version. After that assuming recording directories and import directories are in the same spot you should be back where you started.

How would you get rid of a sage.properites file that may have been corrupted? Just delete it? Does Sage create a new one on the first reboot? I understand I'd have to do all my setups again, but that doesn't take long.
Also, I have firewire channel changing software installed in the common directory I think - can that just stay where it is, aka will Sage recognize it when rebuilding?

I believe this is correct since it was what I did when I moved from XP to WHS. Also, I will be doing it again this weekend because my properties file looks like a garbage dump since I did all sorts of wierd crap in version 6 that kept across in version 7.
