Thanks. Didn't even know I could change that parameter.

Update: I had to first set up the STB to recognize various other output resolutions by turning off the box and pressing the "guide" and "info" buttons simultaneously. Then I had to remove 1080i from the list during setup, or it wouldn't put 720p on the list. Once I did that, though, I can change output resolution in the regular "settings" menu. I do a lot of conversion to 720p formats, and this will speed that conversion process up. It will probably save recording space too.
