SageTV Freeze

I'm having trouble accessing my video libraries from SageTV. Sage works fine until I specify the folder containing my movies (H:\Movies). That works alright. But when I go to my Imported Movie files Sage freezes. It continues to show record and show the TV shows, but I can't access it. The only way to unfreeze it is to use Task Manager to close sage. It also puts my CPU usage to 100%.

Then, if I log onto Sage again, the same problem reuccurs until I remove H:\Movies from my imported library directories.

Any ideas on how I could resolve this problem?

I'm using version 2.0. My computer is running 3 pvr-250's, with an AMD Athlon 1900 cpu, win xp pro, and a radeon 9600 video card.

Oh, and I don't think it is a hard drive problem, because I can use H:\Movies with every other program besides sage.

Thanks in advance!

I would guess that there is a file in there that Sage does not like. That is a tough one to figure out.

All of the files in there were previously recorded by sage. I just used videoredo to edit out the commericals. They are all mpeg-2 files.

I would think it was the editing of the files which made them cause Sage to lock up. I have shows downloaded from the internet which play perfectly fine in Windows Media player (SVCD Mepg2) and Sage will lockup playing them about half way through.

I'm having the same problem. If I had any directories to the imported files or videos sections Sage will freeze when I try to go into the TV Guide, Jukebox or Sage Recordings sections.

Does anyone know why this would happen?
Thanks

(I'm running the Sage Trial)

The answer is probably in the above posts. Unfortunatly Sage is very picky with problems in files that most other players can ignore.

Add me to the list. I changes my Video storage folder from the default to C:\SAGE VIDEOS so I can access the files easier over my network, and all hell broke lose.

When I access the menu 'SAGE RECORDINGS" SAGE locks up, I also can not even waqtch TV, I get an error -10.

How doyou fix this?

sage woke me up last night with a horrible audio noise
It had apparently just locked up playing an imported old recording
I just put it to sleep and went to bed myself
It is funny that it did not crash the whole program though
